Clark Thomas Vikse 1989 - 2007

Clark Thomas Vikse died Dec. 16, 2007, at his home in Craig following a lengthy illness. He was 18 years old.
Clark was born April 24, 1989, in Steamboat Springs, the son of James A. and Lynn D. (Christ) Vikse. He was raised and attended school in Craig, graduating from Moffat County High School in spring 2007.
Clark enjoyed bowling, watching movies - especially Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Prince of Eqypt, and Joseph Prince of Dreams - and he loved to travel with his family and meet his extended family.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Lynn Vikse, of Craig; his brothers, Benjamin Vikse of Alamosa and Loren Vikse of Craig, his grandparents, Daniel Christ of Bismarck, N.D., and Orland and Mary Lou Vikse of Pollock, N.D.; four sets of aunts and uncles, thirteen cousins and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his sister, Amy Michelle Vikse, his grandmother Lucy Christ and his cousin Chris Grossman.
Funeral services were held Dec. 19, 2007, at Faith Lutheran Church in Craig, with Pastor John Turner officiating. Wendy Lankister was the organist, and pallbearers were Ozzie Kerste, Rocky Thompson, Greg Smith, Duane Rodewald, Edward Messing and Jim Kurz. Concluding services and interment will be Dec. 22, 2007, in Pollock, S.D.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mitochondrial Disease Foundation or Faith Lutheran Church. Thrivent Insurance Co. will match all donations to the Mitochondrial Disease Foundation up to $1,600.
