Lois J. Gentile was born April 1, 1933, in St. Joseph, Mo., to John and Ethel (Miller) Wright. She was raised and attended school in Missouri.
Lois later moved to Denver, where she was married and become the mother of four children, Bill, Don, Douglas and Tammy Rigney.
She married James J. Gentile on Oct. 16, 1971, in Denver. They spent many years in Oak Creek and moved to Craig in 1997.
Lois worked for a time as a cook in Phippsburg, but primarily was a homemaker. She also enjoyed crocheting.
She died Aug. 20, 2007, at The Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, James J. Gentile, of Craig; daughter Tammy Rigney, of Hawaii; stepdaughters Janice (Wayne) Buntin, of Oak Creek, and Jean Gordon, of Arvada; sons, Bill, Don and Douglas Rigney; stepson James (Molly) Gentile, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pearl.
Cremation has taken place, and no memorial services are planned.
