ZIRKEL Wireless announced Wednesday that the company has successfully completed the installation of three new high-speed Internet antenna sites in Moffat County.

The installation represents the largest single-year expansion in the company's history and increases the ZIRKEL Wireless network to 19 antenna sites with 85 wireless access points, providing the largest high-speed Internet coverage area in Northwest Colorado, according to a company news release.

The expansion into Moffat County also allows the company to increase capacity and Internet connection speeds in Hayden.

"ZIRKEL Wireless is very pleased to have finally satisfied the demand for affordable high-speed Internet service for the residents and businesses of Craig, Colorado and the surrounding area," said Alan Belvo, ZIRKEL Wireless president and owner, in the release. "Before this service area expansion, much of Moffat County remained unserved by Internet service providers."

After identifying locations for maximizing service to Craig area residents, ZIRKEL Wireless partnered with the city of Craig to install one of the three new antenna sites at the city's Sand Rock water tower.

"When ZIRKEL Wireless approached the city of Craig to utilize the city's water tower as an antenna site, we realized that ZIRKEL Wireless would be able to provide Internet connectivity to our city facilities," said Jim Ferree, Craig city manager, in the release.  "While we're still in the implementation stage of using ZIRKEL Wireless' services, to date the connections have been very good and reliable."
