Craig Daily Press Staff Report

The Yampa Valley Electric Association Board filled two vacant seats this week, the board announced in a news release.

The board appointed Frank Roitsch, of Hayden, to represent the members of District 5, and Glynda Sheehan, of Slater, to represent the members of District 1.

District 5 includes the Town of Hayden and the surrounding area. District 1 covers the north part of Moffat County and the area served by YVEA in Wyoming, including the community of Baggs, according to the release.

Roitsch retired from Xcel Energy in 2006 as the Hayden generating station director.

Sheehan operates an accounting and income tax service in Baggs.

Both board members will serve for the unexpired term of their respective vacancy, according to the release.
