Witham: The people should decide

To the editor:

I am writing this letter as a former employee of The Memorial Hospital in Craig.

Quorum Health Resources, which currently manages the hospital, has a contract for management services with the hospital that expires at the end of June.

A decision has to be made by the hospital board whether to renew the contract or search elsewhere for another management company. I strongly think that the tax payers should have a say in how their beautiful new facility is managed, and I am a strong advocate that we need to search for a new company.

I would be happy to share my experiences working at The Memorial Hospital to let people know what is going on.

If any other taxpayers of this community agree that we need a change, please contact me.

I can be reached at kwithamster@gmail.com, 824-5920, or by mail at 760 Barclay St., in Craig. Also, you can get information on the Internet about the management company, which is located in Tennessee, currently managing the hospital.

It is very insightful.  Thank you to the Craig Daily Press for allowing me to express my opinion on this issue.
