What happens in Vegas…

All the hard work and sweat the juniors put in to make prom perfect made it a huge success. “I thought it was fantastic. I had a good time, and the decorations were better than last year,” said Tyler Francetich. The theme for prom was Viva Las Vegas, with a dancing pink flamingo on one side of the gym and a big sign on the other side with the name of one of the big casino in Las Vegas. The dance went from 9-12pm. “Prom was a blast especially with the songs because they did awesome songs,” said Jodi Hoeland.

On every table there were martini glasses for decoration with poker chips in the martini glasses and on the tables. Students took them as a memory piece. The fun did not end there. After the dance many students went to the after party at the bowling ally. Students left right away to go to the after party, but a few stayed until prom ended. Outside of the gym, students could get their Prom pictures taken by Mr. Hansen and Mr. Kilpatrick. Mrs. Magas said. ” I was impressed by how dressed up everyone looked, and I was impressed by Trapp. He wore a tie.”

Before Prom night could happen, all the students walked the Grand March under the big sign that said Viva Las Vegas and flashing lights all over it. Showing off their matching shoes with their fabulous outfits. Prom night was a night to remember and to never forget. It was a drama free night, with laughs and smiles everywhere you looked. The students at MCHS are the reason for all the great ideas that go around this school. For prom this year, the king and queen were Kati Scott, and Ian Duzik, both juniors who helped out with the Prom decorations. Ian Duzik said, "I was surprised to be chosen as prom king. I didn't expect it." Kati Scott on the other hand said, “Being chosen as Prom queen was rewarding, I was overjoyed.”
