Weather Watch: Craig temperatures to hold steady this week
January 19, 2014
The moderate weather of Northwest Colorado looks to be sticking around this week.
Craig and Moffat County can expect a steady dose of calm climate this week, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast calls mostly for sun for the next few days, said Travis Booth, a meteorologist with the NWS Grand Junction office.
Booth said there should be little difference from the past few days in the area.
"It'll be a real gradual warm-up through the middle part of this week," he said.
Booth said a "weak weather disturbance" coming from the Northwest will cross the region late Thursday and early Friday, but there may be hardly any outcome from it.
"At this point, we're not really expecting anything significant with it," he said.

Temperatures will continue to stay right around average for this time of year — highs in the upper 20s and low 30s with lows around zero — possibly dropping a bit depending on the incoming cooler weather.
Booth said a combination of high pressure and existing snow coverage is what will keep the thermometer from changing much either way as small "inversions" occur.
"Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, it's more of what we've been seeing," Booth said.
