August 24, 2012
“I love it, I really do. It’s a big plus for Craig. I love the layout, the new dressing rooms, and the girls are always very helpful.”
— Craig resident Judy Lewis about the opening of Maurices clothing store at its new location in the Tebo Center next to Walmart
The long awaited opening of Maurices women's clothing store at its new location in the Tebo Center development next to Walmart has finally arrived.
Maurices opened its doors at 5 p.m. Thursday to give local customers a sneak peek at the brand new 5,000-square foot layout.
Many returned Friday to shop the latest fashions during Maurices' first full business day at 1830 W. Victory Way.
"It's going great," said store manager Andrea Medina. "I was so excited yesterday (Thursday) when we finally opened. How could you not be with how incredible everything turned out?"
Medina's excitement was not only shared by her employees, but also by the steady stream of customers who browsed the clothing racks Friday.
"I can tell the customers are really excited as well," Medina said. "Everyone has been so complimentary and saying the nicest things about the new store."
Judy Lewis, a Craig resident since 1975 and a regular Maurices patron, was one of many Friday shoppers who complimented the new location.
"I love it, I really do. It's a big plus for Craig," Lewis said. "I love the layout, the new dressing rooms, and the girls are always very helpful."
To celebrate the new store opening Maurices is hosting a buy one, get one half-price sale from now until Sept. 9 on all regularly priced items in the store.
Maurices credit card account holders also can enjoy double points rewards on purchases made through the close of business Sunday.
There also is a drawing to give away three $100 shopping sprees. Winners will be named Sept. 10.
The store is currently stocked with the latest summer and early fall clothing lines ranging from causal to business appropriate attire, Medina said.
And with Moffat County students scheduled to return to the classrooms Monday, Medina said the sale provides the perfect opportunity for parents to update their daughter's back to school wardrobe.
"We have a little bit of everything and cater to customers of all ages," Medina said. "We just want to welcome the community and we look forward to servicing our customers both new and old.
"We have something for everyone."
