Steve Cattoor: Deer issue needs action

To the editor:

Some people have problems and some don’t with the way the Colorado Division of Wildlife has proposed to reduce the deer population in Craig.

They have looked at various ways and will use the best ways to do this, but only with Craig City Council approval.

I sure hope council members will approve this, and eliminate some of the problems before someone gets hurt or killed.

If the deer count is now 341, in two years it will possibly be double, 682, and in four years double again to 1,364, and so on.

Let’s do this now and not let the population get to these higher numbers.

I am totally for this proposal.
