Sports briefs: Craig Pool Complex opens today

The Craig Pool Complex, 605 Washington St., is scheduled to open today.

There will be several programs scheduled throughout the summer, including July 15 and Aug. 12 Family Moonlight Swims.

Water Walking will be from noon to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. every day.



There will be lap swimming from noon to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. every day, and water aerobics from noon to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. from June 7 to Aug. 12.

Water fitness adventure will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. and 6 to 6:45 p.m. every Tuesday beginning June 8.



The pool operates from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

For swimmers ages 18 and older, the cost is $4 daily or $80 for a season pass.

For 12- to 17-year-olds, the cost in $3.25 daily or $65 for a season pass.

Swimmers ages 4 to 11 can swim at a rate of $3 daily or $60 for the season.

Swimmers ages 3 and younger and 55 and older swim for free.

A four-member family pass costs $200 for the year, and extra family members can be added for $25 each.

Swimmers can also use the pool from 5 to 8 p.m. on weekdays for $2.50 per person.

Parks and Rec baseball, softball underway

The Craig Parks and Recreation youth baseball and softball seasons have started.

T-Ball is played at 5:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woodbury Sports Complex, 350 S. Mack Lane.

Softball is played at 5:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Loudy-Simpson Park, 500 S. Ranney St.

Coach pitch is played at 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woodbury.

Youth baseball plays at 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Woodbury.
