Senior Spotlight for May 4
May 4, 2010
Mother's Day is coming up, and I hope your mothers have a very good one.
My daughters let me know how much they think of and about me regularly.
Through the years, some things change but not my unconditional love for my family. As a mother, I feel very strongly about my daughters, regardless of whatever comes up.
To me, I'll always love them and they'll always be my daughters.
Have a happy Mother's Day, or a very nice one. See? It works both ways.
I have birthdays this week for Sarah Van Grandt, Charles Gallegos, Maddesyn Van Grandt, Larry Keller, Don Seick, Chloe Peterson, Dorothy Cox, Earl Updike and Shirley Rogers.
Speedy recovery/get well soon to Jerry Teeter, Harriet Decker, Marie Greenwald, Al Herrera and Rose Razzano.
A potluck will take place at noon at Sunset Meadows I. There will be no Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 senior dinners until next fall.
If you have news about birthdays, anniversaries, get well wishes, etc., call me at 824-2139.
The AARP 55 Alive Safe Driving Class will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 13 in the recreation room at Sunset Meadows I. Call Beverly Chapman for more information.
The sign-up sheet is at Sunset Meadows I from Wednesday through May 12.
