Senior Spotlight for June 18: Another busy weekend

Mary Jo Brown

Another busy weekend and June is about around the corner of being gone.

Several people have mentioned this, how fast time is going by.

My sentiments exactly.

Summer begins June 20, according to my calendar, the longest day of the year. Then we start losing sunlight time.

Take a little time out of your busy day and think of all you’ve done so far since school is out and it was summer.

Hot days in the spring. We’ll all have a great summer.

Happy birthday to Amber Guice Southard, Linda Sandoval, Don Davisson, Kayla Gill, Ena Peed, Jean Muhme, and Amanda Foote.

Get well/speedy recovery to Mary Garcia, Dora Remos, Kathy Bassett, Julianne Malley, Bob Tobin, Nancy Brennan, Lowell Klingsmith, Amanda Foote and Richard Brenton.

The McDonald’s senior breakfast is Wednesday.

The AARP meeting is at 2 p.m. June 25 in the recreation room at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St.

The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I. Come join us.

News and views are always welcome. Call me at 824-2139.

Thanks.
