Senior Spotlight for Dec. 22
December 22, 2009
The reason for the season is drawing closer every day. Christmas is Friday, Christ's birthday.
Santa represents the spirit of Christmas, the joy in giving, sharing and forgiving. I think that is the main reason for Christmas.
Jesus was born and gave us his own life later, so we also should forgive others, and realize that without forgiveness there is little or no hope for us to feel the joy in sharing the release of the bond of whatever is causing the problem.
I know we can forgive, though you may think you cannot.
Merry Christmas/happy birthday to Jesus, and also to Tony Gallegos, and all of you who have birthdays this week.
The McDonald's senior breakfast is Wednesday.
There will be no meal or bus service Thursday or Friday at Sunset Meadows because of the Christmas holiday. There will not be a potluck Friday, either.
I also wanted to say thank you to Jessica Wiseman for the FFA fruit she donated to Sunset Meadows.
Also, thank you to all the carolers for their visit and music this past weekend.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas.
