Reader challenges private land owners to open lands to hunters

To the Editor,
This is the year that the elk and deer are very likely to starve in vast numbers. They have been allowed to run in large numbers. Now, you may even see them come to town. Your forests and BLM grounds are over-grazed, so they are going to try to find food.
This is a good time to get the sheep and cattle out of the forest. These people are making a rich man’s sport out of hunting. If they use public land then they open up their private land to the public during hunting season. Put this to them and see what they say. Ho ho
