Pop-Up Gallery to return to Craig

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

The Yampa Valley Artisans will host the latest installment of its Pop-Up Gallery project from Thursday through Saturday at 13, W. Victory Way, formerly home of Wolf's Tattoo.

Organizer Roberta Hawks said 15 regional artists will showcase all forms of masterworks in the location.

"It's such a big, wide open space, we're really excited about it," she said. "We've got such a good variety."

The gallery's objective is to spontaneously set up in a spot no longer used by a business to display how the locale is still useful, in this case by displaying a small museum's worth of local art.

The gallery will include a Thursday reception and meet-and-greet for the public to interact with the artists starting at 4 p.m., around the corner from the Craig Farmers Market. The art will be available from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
