Play By Play: Fall and Winter 2012-13
Jr. Youth Basketball (K – 2nd Grade)
Learn the basic skills: dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and concepts of team play. Games are played on weeknights in the early evenings. Boys play on Monday and Wednesday evening. Girls play on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. In order to have a successful program, parent volunteers are needed to coach.
Season: Feb. 11 – April 11, Deadline to register: Jan.9. Fee $30

Adult Coed Volleyball
Spring Season: Feb. 18 – April 18. Deadline to register: Feb. 6. Fee: Team $125 plus each player $10

Community Ski Club
Membership fee is $10 per person and members receive lift tickets at a discount prices. Ski Club is an excellent opportunity to experience this sport at the lowest prices possible. Tickets are good for Saturdays only, and no tickets will be available during Christmas and New Year holidays. Once you join the club, you will need to order your tickets through Parks and Recreation by Tuesday of each week. The tickets are ordered from Steamboat on Wednesday and you can pick up your tickets at City Hall on Friday to ski on Saturday.
Trailbusters
This program provides ski or snowboard lessons for youth 6 – 15 years of age. Participants ride a bus to Steamboat, with a chaperone. Participants are required to ride the bus. If you are planning to ski more than five Saturdays of Trailbusters, you might look into purchasing a season pass for the year. Ski & Snowboard rentals are left up to the participant and special rates are offered to Craig Parks and Recreation participants, from Sports Stalker in Steamboat. It is very difficult to get season rentals from any place in Steamboat after Dec. 1, so get your equipment early!
Session Dates: January 19, 26 & Feb. 2, 9, and 23.

Intermediate Line Dance
Short, Intense Course. Polish up dances we’ve learned in the past. Plus, learn a couple new ones! Pre-requisite: Line dance lessons in the past from Julie or someone else. Classes will be on Tuesday & Thursday. A beginner/advanced line dance class will be offered in the Spring of 2013. Classes take place from noon – 1 p.m. at the Center of Craig.

Fee: $20
Water Aerobics
Great Exercise and fun!! Water Aerobics improves cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and body tones. The water provides added resistance, yet is less stressful on joints than traditional aerobic classes. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. Class will NOT be held the week of Thanksgiving or Winter Break. The class requires sufficient enrollment to be held. Pre-registration is required.
Session Dates: Oct. 22 – Jan. 16, & Jan. 21 – March 27
10-Week Session Fee: $50
Drop in fee: $4 per class
Lifeguard Training….. is for Everyone
TEENS, Lifeguarding is a great way yo spend the summer and earn cash for college! Adults, you’re never to old to get certified. If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard this is the class you will need. Participants must be at least 15 years old and pass a pre-course swim test. The class will be held during Winter break. A pre-course Swim Test will be held Dec. 12 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the High School Pool

CPR & First Aid Classes
American Red Cross CPR and First Aid classes are offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. Certifications are available and course costs are as follows: (prices include textbooks). All classes are from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., at the City Hall
Adult CPR & Fist Aid II – Nov. 13 & 14, $65.
Adult CPR & Fist Aid III- March, 12 & 13, $65.
Community CPR & Safety I – Jan.15, 16 & 17, $80.
Community CPR & Safety II – Feb. 5, 6 & 7, $80.
CPR and First Aid classes can be scheduled for business and other groups upon request and availability of an instructor. All of the above classes require sufficient enrollment to be held. For more information call Sylvia at 826-2017.
