ORDINANCE NO. 1013 (2011)
A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO CARRYOVER BUDGETED 2010 PROJECTS OR COMMITMENTS NOT ACCOMPLISHED IN 2010 INTO THE 2011 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted the 2010 Annual Appropriation Ordinance #999 and 2010 Appropriation Amendments (Ordinances #1002); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the 2011 Annual Appropriation Ordinance #1009; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous to modify and amend the 2011 Budget to complete the following projects or commitments:
(a.) To increase the City Clerk/Personnel budget in the General Fund for a mail-in ballot election ($4,250);
(b.) To increase the General Services budget in the General Fund for server support ($7,300);
(c.) To increase Capital – Building Maintenance budget in the General Fund for renovation of City Hall ($62,000), carpet and concrete for City Hall ($22,000);
(d.) To increase Capital – Park and Recreation’s budget for downtown lights ($20,000) and Ridgeview Trail ($49,000);
(e.) To increase Capital – Road & Bridge budget for the following items: Master traffic Plan ($5,250), gantry hoist ($8,500), leak detection system ($10,430), water truck ($188,870), dump truck ($109,890), plow ($7,500), and a sander ($8,300);
(f.) To increase the Water Department Fund’s budget for filter level probes ($6,000) and a hydraulic articulating valve turner ($8,500);
(g.) To increase the Wastewater Fund’s budget for a security system for the water plant ($2,500) and additional land for the sludge ponds ($125,000).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CRAIG, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. RECOGNITION OF ADDITIONAL REVENUES. There are unrestricted and unappropriated surplus funds in the General Fund in the amount of $503,290.00, the Water Fund in the amount of $14,500.00, and the Wastewater Fund in the amount of $127,500.00 be appropriated and be made available for said purposes.
Section 2. SPECIFIC ACCOUNT MODIFICATIONS. That the Budget, as adopted in the 2010 Annual Appropriation Ordinance, shall be amended as follows:

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the expiration of ten (10) days after passage and upon due publication, as provided by Charter.
Section 4. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is, for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance.
Section 5. The City Council deems it appropriate to publish the title of this ordinance, together with a summary of the ordinance and with a statement that the text is available for public inspection and acquisition in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 6. This ordinance is necessary for the general health, safety and welfare of the public.
