Friday, June 26

In the 700 block of Steele Street, code enforcement observed tall grass and weeds. An administrative warning was mailed to the property owner advising of the violations.

In the 2000 block of Crockett Drive, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

In the 700 block of East Victory Way, officers arrested James Arthur Swartz on a warrant.

In the 400 block of West Eighth Street, officers responded to a report of a dog running at large. The owner was issued a summons.

In the 1100 block of Breeze Street, officers responded to a report of a hit and run traffic accident in which an entire fence was knocked down. Investigating officers found no evidence of an accident and strong wind remains the primary suspect.

At First Street and Highway 40, officers responded to a car versus deer accident.

In the 800 block of West First Street, an officer took report of assault.

In the 1000 block of West Sixth Street, an officer took a report of theft.

In the 500 block of West First Street, an officer took a report of theft.

In the 1300 block of Sage Court, officers responded to a domestic violence call. No one was arrested.

In the 400 block of Tucker Street, code enforcement red-tagged a vehicle.

On Commerce Street, code enforcement red-tagged a vehicle.

In the 400 block of Tucker Street, and individual was trespassed from property.

In the 600 block of Wickes Avenue, an officer took a report of theft.

In the 600 block of Russell Street, a juvenile was received a liquor violation. An investigation is underway.

Tuesday, June 23

William Harvey Hartman, 47, of Grand Junction, was booked into Moffat County Jail on a warrant.

Wednesday, June 24

Christopher G. Picking, 30, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence.

Friday, June 26

James A. Swartz, 59, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on a warrant.

Saturday, June 27

Mark P. Kelly, 23, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

Sunday, June 28

Michael S. Dewey, 41, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail for allegedly driving with a revoked license, speeding and failing to present insurance.
