Motocross races slated for Sunday

The Thunder Ridge Motor Sports Park, located south of Craig, will be holding motocross races Sunday.

All age groups and all classes are welcome to compete.

Sign-ups will start at 7 a.m., and practice will begin at 8:30 a.m. The first race is slated to start at 9:30 a.m.

Race registration is $25 per racer, and the cost of admission is $10 per person.

The Craig Lion's Club will be selling breakfast and lunch at the track.

The inaugural races were held June 11.

Craig resident Landon Willey won the schoolboy class; Parachute resident Brady Nay won the adult beginner class; Morris Herbert, of Monument, won the novice/amateur class; Tom Williams, of Fairplay, won the vintage class; and Palmer resident George Pennington won the post vintage class.
