Moffat County School Board: Thanks to Durham

To the editor:

The Moffat County School Board would like to thank Rod Durham for his eight years of service. Because of term limits, Rod has resigned his seat.

Three of the board members had the opportunity to work the past six years with Rod and the other three members worked with Rod for four years.

Dr. Petrone said it best when he stated, “Rod brought a quiet strength to our table.”

While Rod is a little less vocal than some of our members, he gave every issue the attention it needed. He contributed quality ideas and questions that assisted us to come to a conclusion with our students’ best interest always at the heart of our decisions.

We are sad to see him go, but wish him the best of luck and offer our continued appreciation of his time, knowledge and experience.

Christine Balderston will be taking Rod’s place at the table, and we are all extremely excited to be given the chance to work with her in the future.

Good luck to you, Rod, and welcome aboard, Christine.
