The Moffat County High School boys cross country runners are right in the thick of the race as the 3A State Championships begins. In 43rd, Brandon Beason had the best individual finish for Bulldog boys, contributing to their eighth place finish, while Emily Womble was 14th for the seventh-place girls.

Among the boys, Brandon Beason pulled ahead of Riley Allen to claim the top Moffat County finish at 43rd place and 17:57.16, while Allen was 45th at 17:58.78.

Ashley Suits and Isiac Roop each posted season bests at state while achieving rankings of 46th and 68th and dual athlete Connor Scranton took 71st.

The girls team placed seventh and the boys eighth out of 20 schools, both 3A races featuring 149 runners.
