Jim Blevins

Age: 60

Occupation: Owner, manager and sole employee of Blevins Electronics

Place of birth: Aurora

What should your business card say you do? I don’t use business cards, I have pens with all my business information on them to give people.

When did you move to Moffat County, and what brought you here? I had no choice. I moved here when I was 2 weeks old, lived here until I was about 7, then I moved to Montana. I moved back in 1993 because I had family here, and I opened up the shop.

Describe your morning routine. Mostly sleeping. I finally wake up and open up the shop at 10:30.

How would your friends describe you? I have no idea.

Have you ever had a book change your life? What was it and why? Oh, several books. Probably “The Big Book” from AA. It stopped my drinking.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An engineer.

If you could invite any four people over for dinner, who would they be and what would you serve? Bush, Blair, al-Zarqawi and Osama bin Laden. I doubt they would last long enough together to eat. I’d serve them a set of dueling pistols.

What are the three things you can’t live without? Air, water, electronics.

What was your most embarrassing moment? I don’t want to get into that one.

Which superhero would you be? The Phantom. No wait, I take that back — Darth Vader.

If you had to give up one of your five senses, which would it be? Taste.

What band/performer would you stand in line to get tickets for? Shania Twain.

What music, book or movie are you ashamed to admit you love? Catwoman.

What would you do if you won $10 million? Buy a ranch some place and retire.

How do you feel about the situation in Iraq? It’s a horrible mess.
