MCHS Student Council: Program a success

To the Editor:

The Moffat County High School Student Council would like to thank the students and staff at Moffat County High School and the many community members who donated used cell phones to the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program we sponsored in honor of Veterans Day.

We are also grateful to the Craig City Market for allowing us to put a collection box in their store.

We received 117 phones and many phone accessories between the time we began the project on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and completed it Dec. 16.

The old cell phones will be recycled, and the money will be used to purchase phone cards for the men and women currently serving our country.

If you were not able to drop off your phone, you may send it directly to “Cell Phones for Soldiers.” You can find mailing instructions and information about their program on their Web site, http://cellphonesfor

soldiers.com.

You also can save your phones for next year when we do the project again for Veterans Day.

We thank you for all your support. We also would like to thank the many men and women who have served our country, and those who are serving our country.

We appreciate what you do for us.

MCHS Student Council,

Heather Fross and DeLaine Brown
