MCHS Homecoming activities continue today and Saturday

Moffat County High School is celebrating Homecoming this week with a variety of activities that continue today and Saturday at the school and in the community.
The theme for Homecoming is Bulldog luau.
Students are invited to show their Bulldog pride by wearing blue and white today, which is a half-day for students throughout the district.
The Homecoming parade begins at 2 p.m. today and runs from Craig City Park to Safeway. Line-up begins at 1 p.m.
The high school's science department also hosts its annual cardboard boat regatta following the parade at 3:30 p.m. today at Loudy-Simpson Park.
At 7 p.m. today, the Bulldog football team takes on Palisade High School, whose mascot is also the bulldog, at the high school, 900 Finley Lane.
Homecoming royalty will be introduced before the game. A half-time show will feature the high school's band and spirit team, as well as a fireworks show.
Other sporting events this weekend include a cross-country meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fruita and the high school soccer team facing Glenwood Springs Saturday at 1 p.m. at Loudy-Simpson Park.
The high school freshmen, junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams host Eagle Valley at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., respectively, Saturday at the high school, and host Battle Mountain at 3, 4 and 5 p.m., respectively, Saturday at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave.
The Homecoming dance is from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday on the high school's first floor.
