MCHS football team loses to Rifle on the road

4th Quarter

The Bulldogs' offense was held out of the end zone all night as MCHS

falls on the road, 48-6, in Rifle.

The Bears kicked a field goal in the fourth quarter to put the mercy

rule in effect forcing the clock to run non-stop for the remainder of

the game.

3rd Quarter

Moeller was taken out of the game to give the Rifle second-string offense a shot, but the junior still made an impact on defense, intercepting MCHS sophomore Brayden Peterson and returning it for a


Rifle leads 45-6 after three quarters.

2nd Quarter

Moeller scored on the first play of the second quarter and the Rifle Bears extended their lead heading into the half, 33-6.

MCHS junior Jacob Teeter ran the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for the Bulldogs’ lone touchdown.

1st Quarter

Missing quarterback Bubba Ivers, who sat out because of a shoulder injury, the Bulldogs have yet to score on Rifle and trail 19-0 after the first quarter.

Rifle running back Ryan Moeller has three rushing touchdowns for the Bears.
