MCHS boys basketball team drops game to Palisade

Fourth quarter

Palisade wins, 53-44, making MCHS 0-2 for the weekend. Angelo Raftopoulos led the Bulldogs with 15 points in the losing effort.

Third quarter

Palisade’s Kane Gunther scores 11 points in the third quarter, and MCHS struggles to make shots. The Bulldogs fall behind, 38-27, heading into the fourth quarter.

Second quarter

The MCHS boys varsity basketball team is tied at 20 with Palisade at halftime of today’s contest at MCHS. Angelo Raftopoulos has 5 points to lead the Bulldogs.

Junior varsity score

The junior varsity team lost, 41-19, in early action today at MCHS.

Pre-game

Less than 24 hours after suffering a 29-point home loss, the Moffat County High School boys varsity basketball team will be back on the court today.

The Bulldogs lost 64-35 Friday night to visiting Delta, a game that was ripped away from MCHS in the second half.

Today's tilt is against Palisade, and is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at MCHS, 900 Finley Lane.

A low-scoring first half set the Bulldogs back in the last match-up with Palisade. MCHS was outscored 31-15 in the first two quarters.

Palisade opened a 25-point lead early in the third quarter and held on for the victory, 57-43.
