Some adults’ actions hurtful to youth
To the Editor:
The actions of the lunch room teachers, the ones that sit at the bottom of the stairs and yell at students. Their conduct is very embarrassing and hurtful to the students that endure it. Their way of making some submit by being rude is ridiculous. I’m sure that there is a better way of asking questions and receiving answers discreetly. Public embarrassment is by far not the best way to gain respectable attention.
Remember the words of James Baldwin: “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they never failed to imitate them.”
