April 9, 2012
Where is your hometown? "I'm from good ol' Craig."
What has kept you in Craig? "Family, mostly. I've got two kids, one's about a year old now and the other one is 7."
Motto or outlook on life? "Live how you would want to be remembered."
When did you start in your job? "About 2010. I was living in Fruita for a while, too, working at the Valvoline there, but then I came up here to work."
Favorite part of your job? "Being able to work on cars all the time. I just like getting dirty."
Best model to work on? "Probably a Dodge. They're good vehicles, and they're easy to work on."
Recommended Stories For You
Favorite meal from a local restaurant? "I'd say the Tin Cup's prime rib. Or a big ol' pizza from Carelli's is always good."
Favorite Easter candy? "SweeTarts, the little ones they have shaped like eggs at Easter. It's like pixie dust. They always give you a sugar high."
Dream vacation? "Duck, North Carolina. It's on the outer banks, right on the beach. My aunt used to run a sailing center there, and I used to work there."
Band or singer in your iPod or music collection that might surprise people?"
Godsmack or Metallica. People know I listen to a lot of rap with a lot of bass, but I like metal, too. The biggest surprise would probably be country, like Jason Aldean."
Word or phrase you'd use to describe yourself? "'Awesome.' That's probably a good one. (Laughs)"
Favorite cartoon character? "Taz from 'Looney Tunes.' He was my favorite when I was a kid, and I don't really watch a lot of cartoons now."
Wardrobe on a day off from work? "Shorts, DC shoes, DC shirt, DC hat. I've got a DC tattoo, too, they make a lot of skate stuff. I'm really into stuff like drifting and street-racing."
Proudest accomplishment? "Having kids, being married, and getting certified through Valvoline."
Most embarrassing moment? "I have a lot. (Laughs) One day at school, there was a helicopter that landed by the CMS building on the track field, and we were coming out of gym class and somebody de-pantsed me in front of the whole school."
