Jowell: Time to keep promises

To the editor:

I seem to recall our local politicians running on the promise of keeping our gas prices fair and in balance with the rest of the state.

What happened?

Steamboat Springs, which is only 42 miles away, is selling gas at 15 to 20 cents per gallon less than our fine local suppliers. Yet, nobody complains.

I guess we just have more money in Craig than anywhere else. By the way, the state average for gas is $2.66, not $2.84.
