Overtime



The Moffat County High School boys varsity basketball team overcomes a fourth-quarter deficit, pushes Grand Junction Central to overtime, and comes out with a 2-point win tonight at MCHS.

Senior Dylon Camilletti leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 15 points. Angelo Raftopoulos was next with 14 points, followed by 9 points each from Chet Harvey, Colby Haddan and Zach Raftopoulos.

Regulation ends with tonight’s two teams — both winless on the season — tied at 48 and heading into overtime.

Third quarter

Entering the final frame of tonight’s game at MCHS, the Bulldogs boys varsity basketball team finds itself trailing by 8 points, 43-35, to visiting Grand Junction Central.

Halftime

Winless on the season, the Moffat County High School boys varsity basketball team finds itself behind at halftime, 32-27, against another winless team, the Grand Junction Central High School Warriors.

Chet Harvey leads the Bulldogs in scoring at the half, with 8 points. Angelo Raftopoulos and Colby Haddan scored 6, and Zach Raftopoulos has 5 points. Third quarter action is getting ready to begin.

Pregame

The Moffat County High School boys junior varsity and varsity basketball teams will play Grand Junction Central High School today at MCHS, 900 Finley Lane.

Tonight’s games are the first home contests of the season for the boys teams.

The junior varsity team will play at 4:30 p.m., and the varsity is slated for 7:30 p.m.

The varsity team is 0-3 this season. The team lost, 71-59, to D’Evelyn on Saturday in the third round of the Steamboat Springs Shoot-Out.

The junior varsity team is 1-0 after beating Soroco, 44-40, on Tuesday.

Central’s varsity record is 0-4. The team most recently lost, 74-57, to Glenwood Springs.
