Owner Chandler Holguin first began arranging the Vigilantes earlier this year, deciding on Craig's Moffat County Ice Arena in Loudy-Simpson Park as the team's home base.

Since arranging to play in Craig, Holguin has spent the past several months scouting talent, securing sponsors and promoting the team, which is scheduled to begin games in October.

A two-day camp in Denver is also in the works for the team later this summer.

When talking to the Craig Daily Press in April about his plans, Holguin said he intended to make the arena a hub of attention.

"I want to be able to pack this place in the first game and let people see how much fun it is," he said. "I want as many people as possible here and to let kids in the youth program see they can work their way up. It's a good goal to have."
