Vallarta's Restaurant in Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way, will host a fundraiser Monday night to assist the family of Yolanda Cruz.
The Mexican eatery will donate 20 percent of the money it takes in between 5 and 9 p.m. that night, with the proceeds going toward the medical costs the Cruz family recently has had, after Yolanda's 19-year-old daughter Heather's diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma last fall.
Other expenses include transportation to medical appointments, which has been an issue.
Those interested in donating money to help the Cruz family during their difficult time also can contribute to a fund at Bank of the West, 139 E. Victory Way.
Craig residents Adriana Robbins and Shannon Moore helped set up the fundraiser night and the donation fund.
"The family is struggling, and they need that community support," Moore said. "Everyone needs help once in a while, and our community is always fantastic about coming together and being there for one another."
