Fitness Tip: Improve your workouts with H2O

Improve your workouts by drinking lots of water! Not only does water keep you hydrated throughout your workout, but it acts as a lubricator for your muscles, joints and vital organs. It is also a transporter of oxygen and glucose throughout your body, increasing your energy. When your body becomes dehydrated, you often times feel tired and unmotivated, causing your workouts to not have the quality they could if your body was well hydrated. If you are exercising for 20 to 30 minutes, start with 8 to 16 ounces of water before a workout, consuming throughout your workout, and follow up with another glass after you have finished.
