FINAL: MCHS girls lose in Rifle

The Rifle girls varsity basketball team managed to stay undefeated in league play by defeating MCHS, 56-43, on Saturday night. The win moves Rifle to 8-0 in the league, while the Bulldogs drop to 5-3.
At the end of the third quarter, MCHS finds itself behind by double digits, 39-29, against Rifle.
MCHS is down at halftime, 22-16, against Rifle. Junior Courtney Cordova powered the Rifle comeback in the second quarter.
The Moffat County High School girls varsity basketball team lead the Rifle Bears, 11-10, at the end of the first quarter of Saturday night’s road contest.
The Moffat County High School girls varsity basketball team, fresh off a Friday night victory over Battle Mountain, will play at 4 p.m. today in Rifle.
The Bears (11-4 overall, 7-0 in the Western Slope League) have cruised through the Western Slope League, while Moffat County (7-9, 5-2 in the WSL) has been able to keep pace near the top of the standings.
In a 55-26 victory Friday in Battle Mountain, Moffat County's Amanda Snyder had 14 points while Jessi Moser had 10.
