Fall sports practices begin Monday
August 7, 2001
Practices for most of the Moffat County High School fall sports will begin on Monday. The exception is Boys Golf, for which practice started Aug. 6.
Following is a schedule of times and places for the first practices for each sport. All prospective participants are reminded that they must have a completed Athletic Participation Form (physical) on file with the school before they will be allowed to practice. All incoming freshmen are automatically eligible to participate. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible as long as they meet enrollment and academic standards.
Participants are also reminded that MCHS charges a participation fee of $25 per student per activity (with a maximum fee of $100 per family per year in combination with the middle school participation fees). It is the policy of MCHS, however, that no student will be excluded or deterred from participation because of this charge. Under circumstances of hardship, an athlete may petition for a waiver.
Golfers will start practice at the golf course on Aug. 6. All questions should be directed to Coach Ken Harjes.
