Drunken driver arrested in 1971 Ford pickup: On the record and jail report for May 21 to 30

Friday, May 26

9:43 a.m. Officers responded to a report of suspected child abuse.

6:01 p.m. On the 800 block of Russell Street, officers responded to a report of a disturbance between two male parties over property. One male initially reported he was attacked by three people. He was found by officers with a cut on his hand.

6:16 p.m. On the 500 block of First Avenue West, officers responded to a report of a verbal domestic disturbance between a male and female. The parties were separated when officers arrived.

10:07 p.m. On the 700 block of East Victory Way, officers responded to a report of an assault between two juvenile parties.

11:28 p.m. On the 300 block of South Highway 13, officers responded to a report of an unknown homeless person sleeping on a couch upstairs near the banquet room. He told officers he was staying at there with his brother, but hotel staff found no record of it and he was asked to leave.

Saturday, May 27

10:23 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway who was later found.

1:32 p.m. On the 500 block of Breeze Street, officers responded to a report of theft from a vehicle parked in a driveway. The owner reported that a camera that went with the interlock device in her Jeep was stolen.

1:56 p.m. At Russell Street and East Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a drunk man on the corner who could hardly stand up, wearing black-and-white checkered clothing and a black sombrero. Officers took him home.

3:02 p.m. On the 300 block of Birch Street, officers responded to a report of a suspicious male party who appeared to be scoping out several places, was staring at a house and had passed by a few times on a yellow bike.

6:18 p.m. At West Theatre, officers responded to a report of criminal mischief. A front exit door was shattered.

7:41 p.m. On the 800 block of Columbine Street, officers responded to a report of harassment. A female party was getting threatening messages via Messenger from a former friend who had taken items from her house.

Sunday, May 28

12:44 a.m. On the 900 block of Yampa Avenue, officers responded to a report of a disturbance. A female party returned to get her stuff then wouldn’t leave and was cussing and swearing. She left before officers arrived.

2:08 a.m. On the 0 block of West Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a verbal dispute outside.

10:29 p.m. On the 1100 block of West Victory Way, officers collected a bike found in the northeast corner of the Centennial Mall parking lot.

10:37 p.m. On the 700 block of Green Street, officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident. A man reportedly went to his ex-wife’s house and kicked in the door. A female confronted him and told him to get out, he was yelling and screaming, reportedly scaring children who were present.

Monday, May 29

11:06 a.m. On the 500 block of First Avenue West, officers received a call from a woman stating she and her husband were splitting up, were involved in a verbal argument, and she wanted to know if she could make him leave as his name was not on the lease.

11:08 a.m. On the 300 block of Rose Street, officers responded to a report of a 43-year-old male who was bitten by a dog and was at the emergency room.

12:53 p.m. At City Market, officers responded to a report of a theft. A male party had put some steaks in his backpack and then claimed he forgot his wallet in the car and left his backpack at the checkout stand.

1:14 p.m. At the fairgrounds, officers responded to a report of a disturbance. A woman had a restraining order against her ex-husband and ran into him when she went to the carnival with her boyfriend. Her ex acted aggressively toward her boyfriend and a verbal altercation in the parking lot ensued.

2:38 p.m. On Finley Lane, officers responded to a report of a threat. A woman’s ex-husband pulled out of the Safeway parking lot, flipped her off and stated he was going to kill her.

4:10 p.m. On Wickes Avenue, officers responded to a report of domestic violence by an anonymous caller. A woman had been pushed into a mirror by her husband and into the stove a couple days earlier and had a bruise on her right arm.

8:14 p.m. On the 900 block of Colorado Street, officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash. A black SUV hit a mailbox and the neighbor’s trash can and was not found.

9:30 p.m. At Rose Street and East Victory Way, officers responded to a drunk driver report. A blue 1971 Ford pickup hit some mailboxes and was seen on a curb attempting to get back on the roadway. The pickup made its way to the Popular Bar parking lot. A 29-year-old male was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving with an expired Ohio driver’s license, displaying fictitious numbered plates, failure to notify police of an accident, failure to remain on the scene of accident and careless driving.

Sunday, May 21

Charles Francisco Barrios, 37, of Oak Creek, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order.

Jessica Amanda Barrios, 36, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of attempt to influence a public servant and false reporting.

Monday, May 22

Patrick William Hope, 60, of Craig, was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief.

Kenneth A. Rowley, 55, of Rawlins, Wyoming, was arrested on suspicion of unsafe driving, driving without identification plates, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

Tuesday, May 23

Maria Ann Saenz, 36, of Craig, was booked into the Moffat County Jail on courtesy hold.

Heriberto Martinez-Garcia, 23, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was booked into the Moffat County Jail on a on a hold for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Heather Nicole Mercado, 33, of Craig, was arrested on a warrant for possession of illegal substances, driving under suspension and other traffic violations.

Ethan Tyrel Robinson, 26, of Craig, was booked into the Moffat County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear.

Rusty Alan Surovik, 35, of Craig, was booked into the Moffat County Jail on a courtesy hold.

Wednesday May 24

Julie Anne Smith, 42, of Craig, was booked a second time while in the Moffat County Jail for a courtesy hold.

Ashley Marie Steadman, 27, of Craig, was booked into the Moffat County Jail for violating multiple warrants for failure to pay and failure to appear.

Thursday, May 25

Allen Wayne Hamm, 19, of Craig, was booked into the Moffat County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear for charges related to driving under the influence.

Lawrence Clayton Kofford, 75, of Greeley, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and traffic violations.

Jesus Xavier Hernandez, 18, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession or consumption of marijuana by an underage person, possession of dangerous drugs, and driving a vehicle without a valid drivers license.

Michael Scott Jones, 52, of Oak Creek, was booked into Moffat County Jail on a courtesy hold.

Friday, May 26

Janis Caitlin Harper, 25, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail to serve time for previous drug and DUI offenses.

Clifton Dale Kimball, 41, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail to serve time for previous assault and controlled substance offenses.

Yolanda Castillo Palacios, 39, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order.

Russell Warren Withrow, 35, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order and on four warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply relating to assault, contempt, kidnapping and dangerous drug charges.

Saturday, May 27

Andrew M. Petricek, 24, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and lack of insurance.

Wyatt Lee Shroyer, 24, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of driving under restraint.

Trenton Lynn Vernon, 19, of Maybell, was arrested on suspicion of underage drinking, unlawful acts and criminal possession of a forged or counterfeited instrument.

Sunday, May 28

Robert Dale Belk, 51, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of possession of schedule I/II drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Dustin Crowder, 38, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a valid license.

Mark James Abolt, 65, of Craig was arrested on three warrants for failure to comply related to charges of menacing, theft and resisting arrest.

Monday, May 29

L. Franklin Jacob Cattelona, 29, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of possession of schedule I/II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing a dangerous or illegal weapon and expired license plates.

Richard Dustin McAndrew, 26, of Craig, was arrested on suspicion of alleged possession of weapons by a previous offender.

Tuesday, May 30

Steven Ray Allen, 62, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on a warrant for failure to comply.
