Record refund on the way from YVEA
The Yampa Valley Electric Association Board "has authorized the largest refund of patronage capital in the Associations' 70-year history," according to a news release.
The refunded capital will total $3.2 million, and will be paid to those who were association members in 1995.
According to the news release, these "capital credits are just another benefit of buying your electric power from an electric cooperative."
Yampa Valley Electric Association's office is located east of town at 3715 E. U.S. Highway 40.
