7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The semifinal round of the 24th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials takes place west of Meeker on Colorado Highway 13. A single day pass costs $10 for adults and $5 for ages 8 to 16. Children younger than 8 are admitted free. The event includes booths from numerous craft and food vendors, as well as demonstrations from dog experts.

10 to 11 a.m. Mae Jenrich hosts a free demonstration of Chen-style tai chi at the south end of Craig City Park. Call Holistic Health & Fitness at 824-4700.

11 a.m. The Moffat County High School girls freshmen volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.



Noon. The MCHS girls junior varsity volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.

1 p.m. The MCHS girls varsity volleyball team plays Fruita-Monument High School at the MCHS gymnasium, 900 Finley Lane.



1 p.m. The Moffat County High School boys soccer team plays Grand Junction High School at Loudy-Simpson Park, 500 S. Ranney St.

2 p.m. The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution host a meeting at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

6:30 p.m. Hayden Speedway hosts the last race of the season at 37900 County Road 53, Hayden. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for youths 7 to 12. Kids ages 6 and younger get in free. Call 824-3070 or (970) 208-7772.

11 a.m. Dick Nichols presents “The Principles and Demonstration of Excellent Church Music” at Yampa Valley Baptist Church, 3700 E. Victory Way. The seminar is repeated at 6 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Call 824-5424.
