8:30 a.m. The Moffat County Commission meets at the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 W. Victory Way. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-5517.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free hot lunch is served at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. The church is looking for volunteers to help set up and cook and drivers to help deliver meals. Call 826-2895.

8 p.m. A closed meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Closed meetings are only for people with a desire to stop drinking. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

8 a.m. The Bureau of Land Management conducts a public field meeting to visit three parcels being considered in the White River Field Office for the May 2012 competitive oil and gas lease sale. 9 a.m. The Moffat County High School boys varsity golf team plays at Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Colorado Highway 394.

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Aging Well Program sponsors Wellness Wednesdays for adults ages 50 and older at The Journey at First Baptist, 1150 W. Ninth St. Options include art, writing, and exercise classes. Lunch is served at each week’s lunchtime presentation. Call 871-7676.
