8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Calvary Baptist School hosts a fundraising community garage sale at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave. Call 824-3111.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children are invited to color a luminaria at Color for a Cause at the Hayden Public Library, 201 E. Jefferson Ave., Hayden. The activity costs $5 and supports the Hayden H.E.A.T. Relay for Life team.

1:30 p.m. Preserving the Last Frontier meets in the library on the second floor at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. Sherri Johnson will present a program on the history of Maybell. Call 824-6761.

6 p.m. Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 3107 W. First St., hosts a puppet show featuring clowns, a magic act, games, snacks, prizes, face painting and more. The event is free to children of all ages. Call Julie Whitecotton at 819-2156.

6 to 10 p.m. A fundraising barbecue and dance is at The Haven Assisted Living Center, 300 S. Shelton Lane, Hayden. The event includes a live band, a beer garden and activities for kids. 8 a.m. The second annual Craig Duathlon takes place at Loudy-Simpson Park, 500 S. Ranney St. A limited number of race-day registrations will be available. 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. "Pulse," a New Creation Church youth group, meets at the church, 520 Westridge Road. Ages 11 to 18 are welcome.
