— The Colorado State Patrol on Monday released the name of the woman killed Sunday in a car crash on U.S. Highway 40 about two miles east of Milner.

After a bystander performed CPR, Nicole Weber, 21, of Boulder, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was seated in the back of the 2008 Jeep Laredo and was ejected when the Jeep rolled. Weber was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver, Keyan Pesaran, 21, of Boulder, and the front seat passenger Shannon Cook, 21, of Boulder, both suffered serious injuries and were taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. Cook had to be extricated from the vehicle by Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters.

According to the Patrol, the Jeep was being driven east when it went off the left side of the road. The jeep collided with a steel post marking the edge of the road and went down an embankment. The Jeep then went up an embankment and rolled multiple times.

The crash was reported at about 4:10 p.m.
