Craig Middle school deals with gun and knife incidents

A Craig Middle School student was taken into custody Friday for carrying “several knives” on campus property, according to law officials. Several weeks ago, the police also helped the school with a student who was threatening gun violence, Commander Jerry DeLong confirmed.

Cop impersonator pulls over vehicle on U.S. 40 Thursday night

A man impersonating a police officer pulled a car over Thursday night on U.S. Highway 40 near the border of Moffat and Routt counties, and local law enforcement agencies said it’s the second incident reported in the last three weeks.

Fire erupts inside Craig mobile home Saturday

Hume: Cause of blaze uncertain

A fire broke out Saturday afternoon at Unit 302 of Craig’s Cedar Mountain Village. The members of Craig Fire/Rescue received the call shortly after 3:30 p.m., and were quick to respond alongside personnel from Craig Police Department, Moffat County Sheriff’s Office and The Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services.
