With the crisp fall air comes a plethora of activities this season, as well as the holiday that's fun for all ages whether you want to dress up or not. Northwest Colorado has so many Halloween things happening throughout, it's downright spooky.

Decorate and celebrate

• The Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries is looking for entries in its pumpkin decorating contest, which is also open to squashes and gourds. Entries should be family friendly and must not be carved. The library will display all the festive items through noon Halloween Day.

The furniture store’s new owner, Anthony Shepherd, drove to Pueblo last weekend to pick up nearly 1,200 pumpkins for the event. Organizers will have zombies in costume ready to chase participants and all who run are encouraged to dress for the occasion. • The Senior Social Center will host its Decades of Dance get-together Halloween evening, which is open to the entire family with music ranging from the Big Band era to Taylor Swift.

Costumes are encouraged but not required to join in the fun as the Social Center and students of Colorado Northwestern Community College provide fun, with refreshments and door prizes.
