Sophomore Mikinzie Klimper stands in fifth place in the 3A 170-pound bracket, while senior Stelios Peroulis is also No. 5 in the 195 class.

In ninth place in the 138 bracket is senior Issik Herod. All three MCHS wrestlers attended state last season and will compete this weekend in the Grand Junction Duals.

MCHS announced Friday that the scheduled Thursday Hayden Dual has been postponed. The event will now be a Jan. 21 triangular between Moffat County, Hayden and Basalt in Craig.

Parks & Rec aiming to start dodgeball games

Elks Hoop Shoot available to local kids

The Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest takes place in Craig Dec. 19 at Sandrock Elementary SchoolSandrock Elementary School, 201 E. Ninth St., 201 E. Ninth St.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the contest is free and open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Each participant will shoot five practice throws and 25 regular free throws.

Hockey league seeks players

Adult co-ed drop-in games are available at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays and at 7:15 p.m. Sundays at the Moffat County Ice Arena at Loudy-Simpson Park, 600 S. Ranney St.
