Craig sports briefs: Deven Mosman brings home youth gold

Wrestling at Saturday’s Colorado All State Youth Wrestling Tournament, the Craig Bad Dogs youth wrestling team brought 37 grapplers to compete against the state’s top youth wrestlers.

Deven Mosman pinned his first two opponents, and won, 9-2, to bring home a championship trophy.

Kaden Hixson finished second overall, Mikinzie Klimper finished fifth, Hugo Hernandez, Stelios Peroulis, Cody Pleasant and Dominic Beck finished in sixth place.



On Saturday, the Bad Dogs will compete at the Little Warrior Tournament in Grand Junction.

Sea Sharks registration is at 4 p.m. March 10

The Craig Sea Sharks competitive swim club will have a registration session at 4 p.m. March 10 at the Craig fire station, 419 Yampa Ave.



The Sea Sharks are composed of swimmers from ages 5 to 18 who can swim the length of the Moffat County High School pool.

Silver team registration costs $130, and gold team registration is $230.

The first Sea Sharks practice will be at 4:30 p.m. April 9 at the MCHS pool, 900 Finley Lane.

Anyone unable to make the March 10 date can hand in their registration poolside.
