Craig Daily Press wins prestigious awards from Colorado Press Association

Brenda Brandt, publisher, Holyoke Enterprise, presents Craig Daily Press Managing Editor Noelle Leavitt Riley, Publisher Renee Campbell, Advertising Supervisor Sheli Steele and Education/Health Care reporter Lauren Blair awards from the Colorado Press Association on Saturday night in Denver.

The Craig Daily Press was recognized by the Colorado Press Association on Saturday night in Denver, winning 57 awards and three overall excellence awards for its creative services, advertising, editorial and website work in 2014.

"We are so pleased that we were awarded for the hard work that we did in 2014 across all departments," said Renee Campbell, publisher of the Daily Press. "I'm so proud of my team and our commitment to bring a top notch newspaper to the Craig community."

The Daily Press won overall excellence for online and advertising, and it won overall general excellence against all other newspapers in its category.

"It's really a team effort to put out a great newspaper, and we're thrilled about our online and print recognition," said Daily Press Managing Editor Noelle Leavitt Riley. "We worked hard to boost our online presence this past year through podcasting, photo galleries and breaking news."

Creative services and advertising won the highest honor in its category.

"My team is outstanding and strong," said Advertising Manager Sheli Steele. "I'm very proud of our efforts."
