Craig Briefs: TMH Board slated for special meeting

The Memorial Hospital Board is scheduled to host a special meeting at 6 p.m. today in conference rooms A, B and C at TMH, 750 Hospital Loop. Action items listed on the meeting are: adjustment to the 2011 budget and approval of strategic plan.

The meeting is open to the public.

Arts and Crafts Show this weekend

Centennial Mall hosts the Winter Arts and Crafts Show this weekend.

The show runs from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1111 W. Victory Way.

The event will feature more than 80 vendors.

Conservation groups set to host party

The Colorado Environmental Coalition, The Wilderness Society and Friends of Northwest Colorado are hosting a holiday party at 7 p.m. today at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave.

The local band Four 2 Play will provide musical entertainment.

Local "conservation heroes" will also be recognized, according to a release.

Drinks and snacks are provided. A $5 donation for admission

is recommended.

Santa Claus coming to the Daily Press

Attention, children of Craig.

Santa Claus has asked the newspaper to help him gather Christmas letters. Bring your letter to Santa to the Daily Press' office at 466 Yampa Ave., after school on Dec. 17.

You can pick up a letter form from your school or in the newspaper's office any time before Dec. 17. You also may write the letter on your own piece of paper, just to make sure to include your first name and age.

Santa will make a special stop at the Daily Press beginning at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 17 to pick up the letters. The letters will be printed in the newspaper leading up to Christmas.

A special surprise will be given to the first children to bring in their letters. Supplies are limited.

This special promotion is available to children 10 and younger.
