Send mail for troops by Friday
The U.S. Postal Service reminds everyone that holiday mail and packages for U.S. troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan should be sent by Friday for arrival by Christmas. Holiday mail going to other military overseas locations should be sent by Dec. 11. Except for military mail going to Iraq and Afghanistan, Express Mail also can be used to mail packages to other overseas military locations until Dec. 18 for delivery by Christmas.
Saddle Club to host gymkhana series
As a part of its Winter Gymkhana Series, the Little Snake River Valley Saddle Club will host events Sunday and Dec. 20 at Russell Community Park Indoor Arena in Dixon, Wyo.
The event is open to all ages and fees vary depending on age group.
Food and hot drinks will be provided.

VNA to host Celebration of Life
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice will host the Second Annual Celebration of Life from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today in the VNA lobby at 745 Russell St.
Visitors may join to celebrate the memory of a loved one by placing a personalized ornament on the VNA's community Celebration of Life Tree. Refreshments will be provided.
Ornaments and supplies for notation will be provided at no charge.

Blue Ribbon chefs cook for mixer
The Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are offering a business after-hours mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, hosted by Blue Ribbon Kitchens. The chefs of Blue Ribbon Kitchens, Aletha and Cindy, will prepare appetizers and Christmas treats at their new location, 2005 W. Victory Way.

Church to display nativity scenes
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting its Sixth Annual Community Christmas Nativity Display starting Thursday.
The church, at 1295 W. Ninth St., will open its doors at 5 p.m. and welcomes the community to visit.
