Craig Briefs: Lecture today tailored to women

Happyology 101, a free lecture for women helping them "learn simple but powerful ways to be happy for no reason," according to a news release, is scheduled for today.
The lecture will be at 6 p.m. in room 201 at Colorado Northwestern Community College's Craig campus.

Farmer's Market to open today
This year's Farmer's Market begins today at Alice Pleasant Park in downtown Craig.
Markets will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. each Thursday.
This year, there will be a vendor fee to sell handmade and homegrown items at the market.
The fee will ensure the same spot every week and that advertising will go further, in hopes of bringing more vendors and customers, according to a Downtown Business Association news release.
Tea party hosts local candidates Friday
A meeting of the Moffat County tea party is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. The organization will host local candidates for public office, according to a release.

TMH golf tourney set for June 25
The Memorial Hospital Foundation's 10th annual golf tournament is scheduled to begin at noon June 25 at Yampa Valley Golf Course.
The tournament is in a four-man team scramble format, and benefits the hospital foundation. Teams may buy mulligans and the mulligan tickets will be used in a drawing for prizes.
The price of the tournament, $50 per person or $200 per team, includes 18 holes of golf, cart, all you can eat burgers, and a chance to win cash prizes. Prizes include Colorado Rockies tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and much more. The Tin Cup Grill will provide a live band following the awards and dinner.
There will be a chipping pond, straightest drive and closest to the pin contest, among others.
