Craig briefs: Insurance requirements pulled back for Dinosaur
August 23, 2013
The National Park Service pulled back on new insurance requirements that would have increased insurance-coverage minimums for concessions and outfitters operating in Dinosaur National Monument by 500 percent, according to a press release. It also would have affected the guides who lead rafting trips in the park. Sen. Mark Udall and fellow Sen. Michael Bennet thanked the agency for rethinking its proposal.
"This decision will ensure that small businesses in Northwest Colorado will be able to continue to bring thousands of tourists to raft the Yampa and Green rivers through this stunning national monument," Udall said.
